VILLA 1916 is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit on the first floor and located near the Hotel and swimming pools.

The facility is equipped with a portable 1800 W power station designed to mitigate the impact of load shedding. This versatile power source can effectively operate essential appliances, including television and Wi-Fi connectivity, among others but no high-load appliances.


BEDROOMS LAYOUT

A stairway leads to Bedroom 1 which is quite spacious and has a Queen size bed, aircon and en-suite Bathroom with bath/shower combo. Bedroom 2 has a tri-bunk with a roof fan, while Bedroom 3 has a double bed with a roof fan.
Both rooms are on the smaller side. Bathroom 2 is located between Room 2 and Room 3 and has a shower.


UNIT LAYOUT

The kitchen has a tumble dryer and washing machine while the open plan living area has an aircon and DStv with selected channels. Braai facilities are available on the patio that boasts a lovely view of the lagoon.


CAPACITY

Capped at 7 persons, but take note that the 7th person should be below the age of six years, as per estate rules.


HOUSEKEEPING

Does a standard service on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays during the low-season. In mid-high season, the unit is serviced every day, except on Sundays and Public Holidays. Take note that long weekends and public-school holidays are included in the mid-season. *Additional services can be arranged, but please notify us beforehand. This amount can also be deducted from the refundable breakage deposit.

Linen changes are scheduled for stays of longer than five days and will be scheduled during the middle of that period. Towel changes are done on Monday, Wednesday, Fridays and on all new arrivals. Additionally, changes can be arranged at an extra fee but please notify us beforehand.


PARKING

Reserved for one vehicle under the carport. Additional vehicles need to park at the guest parking bays at each lot. Please note these parking bays are open and not covered.


GENERAL

Uncapped WIFI is provided and the passwords are in the flip file located in the unit. Guests need to pay San Lameer Reception R10 per armband, to gain access to the beach for the duration of your stay. This is done on check-in when collecting your keys.


TAKE NOTE

South Africa is experiencing consistent load-shedding affecting all areas, including the South Coast. In the past, San Lameer has had occasions whereby the Eskom breakers in Marina Beach tripped after a load-shedding restart and left the estate without power for a day. We are not able to predict these events and this is out of our control. Please come prepared. Beaches are influenced by weekly tests to determine if it is safe to swim or not and we cannot guarantee that the beach will be open for swimming. The UGU Municipality does have seasonal problems with water supply on the South Coast, which might influence your stay. Although San Lameer has boreholes and reserve tanks, they are still reliant on the supply of the municipality. It is very important to note that we can't control or predict their water supply but will notify our guests should there be an expected problem. We can unfortunately not provide refunds on these instances, and advise guests to take the matter up with the related supplier of the service, or alternatively do not book the unit.


LOADSHEDDING

REMEMBER

This is a self-catering unit, and the unit is fitted with all basic cutlery items, but no food or replenishable stock. Please bring along your own beach towels.

The estate has various activities, including Access to two blue flag beaches, Lagoon, Beach and Sea Viewing Decks, Complimentary 9-hole Pitch & Putt course – Mashie, Table tennis at Leisure Desk and Clubhouse, MBT trail, Jogging, Bicycles For Hire, Fishing Dam - Catch and Release, Tennis and Squash Courts, Children Play Areas, Bowling Green, Paddle Boats and Stand-Up Paddle Boards, Climbing Walls for Children, 2 Swimming pools – Slides and Children’s Water Feature, Bird Viewing Dam and a Communal Braai area at the Beach Gate


AREA

With almost 160 km of beaches that become havens for swimming, surfing, fishing and diving, and rugged untamed landscape perfect for hiking and 4×4 expeditions, the natural wonders of the area are immediately apparent. Added to this are wildlife sanctuaries, stunning 18-hole golf courses and numerous adventure activities unique to the KZN South Coast.
